Accessibility Statement
Draft for review. This page was written for the rebuilt site and has not yet been approved by the coalition.
The Multicultural Business Coalition is working to make this site accessible to people with disabilities. An accessible site lets visitors with disabilities browse with the same ease as everyone else, both through the browser itself and through assistive technologies.
What we have done
This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In building it we have:
- Set the site language and a logical content order on every page
- Used a clear, single-
h1heading structure per page - Given every meaningful image alternative text, and hidden decorative images from screen readers
- Kept text and interface colors at contrast ratios that meet AA
- Made every control reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring
- Provided a "Skip to Main Content" link ahead of the navigation
- Honored the operating system's reduced-motion preference
Known limitations
News items, member organizations, and the GoFundMe campaign link out to sites whose accessibility we do not control. We welcome reports about any page that is hard to use.
